On Monday, 16 July 2001 from 3 to 6 pm, musician-composer Bill Dixon will be a guest on Columbia University's radio station WKCR to discuss and play selections from his most recently released recording ODYSSEY.

ODYSSEY, a five CD set of music (with an additional CD on which Bill Dixon discusses his work and a variety of subjects) was released in late April 2001 and has been four years in the making. It also contains a booklet of essays by a selection of writers and a booklet of Dixon's paintings. Presented in an 8 1/2 x 11 format, the box set is available directly from Bill Dixon (wrdixon@sover.net) or through OTHER MUSIC--15 East 4th St.--New York, NY--www.othermusic.com. The price, exclusive of postage, is currently $80. (As with all limited editions of art that are signed and numbered, the price is expected to increase within the next few months.)

The radio show on WKCR, hosted by Ben Young, compiler of DIXONIA: a Bio-Discography of Bill Dixon (Greenwood Press), will concern itself with Dixon's work in general and the works in ODYSSEY.
