The recording CONQUISTADOR done in 1966 (where I functioned in the role of sideman in the work of Cecil Taylor) was recorded one week before my own full work as a leader on my recording: INTENTS AND PURPOSES: THE BILL DIXON ORCHESTRA. Naturally in the latter work it is my feeling that I am more fully revealed (musically and aesthetically), and were you to play both of these recordings back to back I am certain that you would be in full agreement with me. Thank you for you kind words relating to my work, and I hope also that you enjoy Life, music, and all that you treasure to the fullest in the coming new year.
